Stop Firefox from Opening on the Wrong Monitor

I'm a big fan of victimisation quaternate monitors. From a productivity standpoint alone, you butt't beat keeping your browser open connected one monitor and your e-mail guest on another. Beaver State your spreadsheet here and your word processor there. You incur the idea.

Most Windows programs are hurt enough to remember their last locating. In otherwise words, if you move Microsoft Word to monitor #2, that's where it'll appear the close clock you run it.

Recently, however, Firefox fell loving with my 2d monitor and decided to stay there, even though I welcome it on ride herd on #1 and moved it there repeatedly. (For the book, I'm operative Firefox 4 in Windows 7. I'm not sure if the same bug exists with other versions of either.)

Thankfully, there's an uncomplicated prepare, albeit a nonnative one. Present's what to do:

1. Run Firefox.

2. Click and drag the top edge of the browser down a bit and so Firefox becomes "windowed" (as anti to full-screen).

3. Move the Firefox window to the monitor where you want IT to roost permanently (or at least until you elect to relocate it).

4. Close Firefox.

5. Run it again. It should appear, windowed, honourable where you left information technology.

6. Now maximise Firefox so it's running full-screen.

That's information technology! From here on out, the browser should keep going your desired monitor. Yo, Mozilla: Add this to your bug list for Firefox 5, will ya?
